Default Remote Desktop over different ISP

Can anyone shed information on how to remote desktop over two different ISPs in two countries. Both behind DSL-routers.

Say like from outside India to a BSNL connection in India.

If you are looking for a 3rd party software then use TeamViewer. It's free for personal use. You don't have to install it to use it (start without installation option). Just have a copy of the software running on each of the comps. I've used it for over a year now and never had to look elsewhere for an alternative.

I tried and gave up on getting windows remote desktop to work
