Kaspersky Installation Problem

Hey frndz...............Plz help me out...........When I'm trying to install Kaspersky, the installer starts and ends up showing "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance." this msg.............what could be the problem??? I have checked "services.msc", Windows Installer Service is running........I restrarted the machine and tried again but alas...........the same result.............plz help me out.........

Install windows installer ver 3.o and then Install Kaspersky

Hey thanx...............I just find out the problem........the problem is my windows installer got corruted after installing SP3............there was no problem with windows installer b4..............what should i do????? Should I uninstall sp3 and install it again?????

Plz help me............I want to take a net connection and I couldn't install my LAN driver.........plz help as soon as u can.........plzzzzzzzzzzz..........
