Default Tv affects battery

My relatives came to stay at our place with their reliance mobile fully charged.
They kept(for more that 2 hours) their mobile ON our TV (TV was ON too!).
Now when they took their mobile and used it for sometime the battery went low..
We charged it and then used it and it went low again in 1 hr..
they said that Battery was working fine before...

So do u think that Reliance mobile's battery was affected due to our TV (LG Flatron 29")????
