This is my first post and i expect good help from you guys. This forum rocks.
I just bought an 8-port network switch and i need to setup lan betweek two of my PCs. I assigned an IP for both and file sharing works great.
but my problems are:
* On some games the hosting server is not listed on the lan tab and ive to type ip manually[only few games allow me to do that]. SO i cant play in lan, especially UT3 and UT2k4.
* I m not able to use interner on one PC. The other is connected directly to net via a lan card. I think the dns and gateway is not properly set.
this pic cud help understand the situation. Thw PC3 is my friends lappy.
