My PC shows that I have only 4.08GB left out of 70.9GB whereas when I check the total size of all the files it comes out to be 23GB...Who is using the remaining space?
I have a single partition i.e. C drive..
Also is there some tool which can show the total size of the folders as windows shows for different files when I select the "Details" option in View.

There may be some hidden files like page file etc. It might be wrongly reported due to a power failure (run disk error check or scandisk or Norton Disk Doctor for this)
Pagefile, hibernation file, temporary files, hotfixes backup, system restore files........ The list is very long. Use CCleaner and Windows File cleaner by using cleanmgr in run dialog box.
There is a free software called Sequoia view which lets you visualize how much size different files and folders are taking compared to the overall space... Download and use it to get a good idea where the missing space is...
