Default battery level in ups?????


hey guyz i have a microtek ups . how can i view my ups battery level.

check if it has a usb / serial port. Then connect the same to your pc and using software from the manufacturers site you can see the status of the ups.

no my microtek ups does not have any usb/serial port. so it cant be connected any pc.is there any other way?

sorry then n luck. The only other way is that you fabricate a voltage monitor say usin lm3914 and connect it accross your bty terminals and the ten led's give you an indication of your bty voltage. This method requires some hardware skills and not recommended if you are not a electronics diy type.

Yes pradeep, is correct. The only option you have, is to build a battery level monitor yourself.

thax pradeep and kannan for the advice
but these things seem to be beyond my reach.i m not that much pro in hardwares.
but since i had bought my ups some 2 1/2 years back so in general what could be the present status of the battery. what is the life of the battery of a normal microtek ups???
and in how many years the ups needs the change of battery...
