help guys my wmp11 is hiding!!

i've tried installing xp sp3 and it stopped in middle saying 'access is denied' couldn't install xp sp3...., all was restored but gav a warnin 'xp sp3 installation failed and xp may not work properly'....., then its havoc ....., wen i open wmp11 it doesn't show up but music plays!!! its window is shown on taskbar but i can't see its 'playin window'

dats really annoying somebody plz help i dont even hav a restore point!!!
wat 2 do???? vil keeping da xp cd in drive repair it??? vil it remove da installed ms updates???

n why did sp3 installation fail??? mines a genuine xp !!

SP3 installation can fail anytime, anywhere. Doesnt depend on whether you bought your xp at 12000 bucks or 112 bucks. Try reinstalling SP3. Using MSCONFIG, Remove all programs from startup, disable all non microsoft services, and end task all programs except system progs. Then run the setup again. For WMP, just reinstall it...

Open xp in safe mode.
Goto control pannel and uninstall wmp11(roll back).
comes up again in normal mode and install wmp11.
you can also choose upgrade option from your xp cd. But it will disable your windows update hotfix.
To overcome this hotfix problem download and install latest "Autopatcher" from www.majorgeeks.com
or from your digit cd/dvds.

Insert your windows CD, and repair your install. Then, after booting, install SP3 again, which contains all updates released previously. Then reinstall WMP11.

He says the problem occurs while installing sp3. It may be possible that after repairing when he trying to install sp3 again same problem occurs. This is the reason why i called to install autopatcher. if he want install sp3 necessarily then Try with new setup. seems problem in the sp3 setup.

Oh so you are suggesting him to skip SP3 and install all updates via Autopatcher? fine, yeah thats good too. Get Autopatcher from www.autopatcher.com and let it download and patch.
