torrent help!! plzzzz

well i hav dwld a torrent file but only 80% is completed..., this happened in my cousins pc..., now i brought those files (da ones in downloaded folder) 2 my house n copied them 2 my pc!! so how can i download da rest of the file!!!??? can anybody plzz help????

i tried copying it in my downloaded folder but it doesn't show up in da torrent engine.... wat 2 do???? i use UTORRENT.

its easy dude.just get the torrent file (same one which you were cousin was using)and start downloading as you would do normally.do a force recheck after it appears in utorrent window.(needless to say that download locations on ur comp must be same for both partial dwnloaded and new one)

Well, i will try to giv a solution, but dnt knw if that will work or knw, i think it shud.. so here it goes...

SInce u hv installed µTorrent, u shud hv that same torrent file (in sum kb's) from ur cousin, now do the following:

1.) Place all the contents (that u hv 80 completed) in a folder where ever u want it..

2.) Double click on the torrent file (again on ur PC) using µTORRENT, it will ask u where to d/load files (as this is the 1st time u are using this file on ur PC).

3.) Jus navigate the torrent (for saving the files) to the folder where u earlier stored that 80% of the contents.

4.) the µTORRENT application will start checking the files (in percentages), and will continue from the 80%mark..

^^that shud work. Try placing it in the same directories as others said. It worked for me. One day, I was Dwnloading Eminem discography and had to format PC so i copied the 57% files on a DVD and after formatting did as others said and continued my downloading

I have done it so many times...not a big deal...just do what ppl have already told here.
u can do this too..start a fresh download ( just double click the .torrent file)...then stop..exit utorrent...go to the directory where it has started downloading file..now replace the existing file in this folder with the one (80%) u have...start utorrent again...done.

Yep. Done it several times too, and I think ashu888ashu888's solution is the best. You just need the torrent. But make sure you right click and force a recheck so that you can resume the download.
