Hi, Which Operating System is it? Try installing a diffrent AntiVirus and update it, and scan the PC.
Also, run System File Checker.
For Win98:-
Go to Start> Run and type sfc and press ENTER. Here click "Start".
For WinXP:-
Go to Start> Run and type sfc /scannow and press ENTER.

What happens when you (single) click on a file and press ENTER?

Perform an Online Virus scan at Trend Micro HouseCall.

Also, does the double click work in SAFE Mode?
