Default DVD R contents disappeared... :(

hi, i m new to the world of dvd burning. the other day i burned a dvd about 50 % full with my favorite tracks. after burning , i re-inserted the dvd to check contents, they were there, so i deleted the backup. a few days later (now), the same dvd shows up as a blank I.e. its empty, it says 0 items. but on the back side of the dvd, i can see the signs of a successful burn (ie the track kinda mark is visible).

what do i do now? did i make a mistake somehwere...

Your drive may be faulty. If the dvd works in another comp, replace your drive. If not, then the DVD might be faulty.
