SECURITY TAB MISSING

HI,

i have NTFS partition (C: and D in my computer. i know that when we see properties of any folder, then 4 tabs appear namely: General, Sharing, Security and Sharing. i work then mostly on security tab for grant of folder permissions.

recently, on installing Win Xp Pro OS, am seeing that there is no security tab though i have NTFS partition. how can i make it appear again.

Disable Simple file sharing from Folder options.You should now be able to see the tabs & change them accordingly.

Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>View>At the very bottom of the list uncheck "Use Simple File sharing" box.
