Default .net framework???

Hi guys!

As there are four versions of .net framework (1.1, 2, 3, 3.5), do we need to install all of them or installing 3.5 will serve the purpose for all of them?

Thank you.

Its a runtime framework. Meaning, its a collection of components, which can be used by developers to make software development easier. But the applications can only be executed on computers where the framework is installed. For a more detailed explanation, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework

if u consider ur software as a bullock cart, then .NET framework serves the function of the bulls..... however this is applicable to only those softwares that are dependent on .Net environment.

As far as the question goes, .net framework 3.5 will do... microsoft is really obsessed with backward compatibility....
