^^. Yes. there are two versions of windows Xp 32 bit and 64bit.

You don't have to worry about that warning/message. No noticeable performance gain. Only advantage is that for 64bit XP you can add more than 4gig of RAM.

Check out for Amazon or other online stores to check if they offers direct download after buying online.

AFAIK there are no option to buy the 64-Bit edition of Windows XP from Windows Marketplace.

There are also ******** sources to download it but we are restricted to discuss it here.

@desiibond is correct, go for 64bit windows only if you are planning to use 4gb or more RAM, and there is no difference at all, and the other thing is that you will have to get 64bit drivers for almost every thing which can be frustrating.
from experience.

All this stuff about 32 bit & 64 bit OS is very complicated to understand. you are better off with a 32 bit OS as there are some compatibility issues with 64bit OS. ignore the warning.

BTW i also have a 64 bit processor, but have never got any warning!

dont go for 64bit XP it sucks very few sw works with it even u will not get antivirus 4 it
i think only symentic is there. also 64 bit os doent improve performance. if u have all working 64 bit software then only think for 64bit OS else 32 bit sw runs as it is. i have userd 64 bit xp and removed it in 12 hours.
