help me regarding hard disk partion

hi everyone,

I m in a serious problem now. I have a vista home premium installed in my laptop. Yesterday i created a 5 GB partion from one of the existing 20 GB (ntfs) partion using vista's own disk management for the ubuntu OS. Now the main problem occured. The existing partition was totally vanished (means the existing (20-5 = 15 GB) partion was not available). but i can access the partion using ubuntu. so plz give any idea to access in vista.

As you can access partition from Ubuntu, the vista partition has certainly not vanished, as you say.I assume that the Vista bootloader has been replaced by Ubuntu's GRUB bootloader.In Ubuntu, open a terminal [Applications → Accessories → Terminal] and type in sudo fdisk -l.Post the output here.
