Divx to Mpeg

Hai friend i had a lot of divx videos that i had downloaded and now i want to burn them to dvds to view in my dvd player, as my dvd player doesnot support divx i had to convert them to mpeg so that i can burn them to dvd, and i use adobe encoredvd to make my dvd movies with menus so i wanted to convert these divx videos without loss of clarity, please specify any freeware or trailware to convert divx to mpeg. Thanks in advance.

unless u r not very firm....... i suggest not to convert as u r doing a kind of stuff like.... running a genset to charge a battery and then use an inverter for the ac supply. What i mean to say is lot of quality, time wastage will be involved. Probably if its for 1-2 movies its still ok or else u can go for a div x player which will be cheaper.( Converting a movie will involve somewhere around 6 hrs or so.... minimum...power wastage, system up and so on)
