Is it possible to search for material only from a specific website?
For eg: if I want to search something only on yahoo.com, is it possible?

Yes u can do it.

In google u can use the site: operator in the search box.



If you include [site:] in your query, Google will restrict the results to those websites in the given domain. For instance, [help site:www.google.com] will find pages about help within www.google.com. [help site:com] will find pages about help within .com urls. Note there can be no space between the "site:" and the domain.

i used to stay with google index to make such queries

go to directory.google.com give ur site name and u get now an option to choose from "entire web" or "this website only"
