never heard anywhr....and never it is a BUZZWORD also...they are never excited "Wow a new quadro has come" like how they are for "wow 9900GTX is about to come"

they give poor vfm if used for gaming.....
similar priced Gforce cards wud performs much better than Quadro....
Same is the case with ATI' Fire GL. Powerful nd feature rich expensive monsters designed mainly for animation nd special effects.

That's true. Quadro design is meant for real time, multiple view port rendering, usually seen in 3D and CAD apps like 3DS MAX, MAYA and Blender. Quadro cards are so pricey because of the quality of their manufacturing and after sales support. High-end Quadro cards give you the freedom of customization for your application.
The price is also due to the relatively small buyer pool.

With a Quadro you can smoothly design a complex 3D scene with Active Shader Turned On in Multiple View Ports, which is not possible, even with the best Gaming card.

Simply - Nvidia's Quadro Cards are for Designing Games and GeForce Cards are for Playing Games.

They also feature more complex visual effects and enhancements like wireframe AA, angular depth etc which is not used in 99% of games....all all those bucks spend on the quadro wud go waste if u buy a quadro for gaming.

whereas Geforce cards supports only those essential features nd visual effects that most games commonly uses and Geforce will be better at handling that. Also geforce drivers are tweaked for maximum game performance and not much keen on quality unlike quadro.

but yeah....probably some insanely pocketed mentally ill-out patients(who may be using a large HSF to cool evn thr computer table...lol) might be buying it for gaming....
