For what do you require the pc?

Approx prices and you can assume to be few hundred rupeed +- etc.

AMD Athlon 939pin 3000+ / 3200+ winchester,7500,9500
MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum,shud be 9500 or 9k and up
Hynix 512mb DDR RAM 400 Mhz ,why do you want hynix? should be >2.5k go for retail also consider corsair and transcend
Samsung / Seagate 160GB SATA HDD,why do you need so much space , if you need it then take it anyways, rpice should be about 4800
VIP 400W SATA Power Supply + cabinet ,maybe 2k and up
XFX 6600 256MB Graphics ,geforce 6600 comes for even 7500 or so and some body bought msi 128bit i think 128mb for 9850 each,he bought 2,also with such a card what use is 256mb

check at xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu for cpu
also check here http://216.92.52.205/index.html

6200 is something you would not take if you want to game hard.

If u are a hardcore gamer then get a 6600GT for sure or even if you planning to buy a 6600 then dump it, add some cash and get the GT.

Default Go for It- BUT with a few changes

Cool config u have drawn up. But I dunno if it's for Gaming or also utilising for Audio/Video Editing purposes.

I have been using an AMD 2600 for the past 2 years and my experience suggests the foll, these are what I have used without any problems (modified for ur config)-

1. SMPS (min 500 or 550W) go for Antec or VIP - this is future proof, in case u wish to add further hard-disks, etc.
2. Cabinet - VIP DGG 333 (it has 8 front side slots/bays) - This is the best
3. UPS - 700VA APC - do not think of Wipro

Enjoy

Default Errata - Sorry abt the Cabinet code

1. Cabinet VIP 833 DGG (with 8 front side bays)
2. RAM - I think u would need 1 GB (512x2 sticks) - If ur system is gonna use Norton System Works (along with Firewall & Antivirus), this is a RAM hogger.
3. Dude u don't need a modem, UR motherboard comes with it, along with a GB ethernet port.

Which city are u from.
I am from Mumbai

Install Doom3 and run the bechmark when u get ur card, and then borrow the other 1 from a friend or something(considering if u get the 256MB version for urself then borrow the 128MB one)and run the benchmark on it again and u'll know the difference! If u wanna build a gaming rig for urself then whatever u do DONT compromise on card memory!!

Umm afaik there will be a diff of less than 4-5 fps thats it. 258MB benefits on a 6800GT and not the 6600 series. There is no point of compromising over card memory. And puhleez doom3 isnt the only game for benchmarking.
