8500GT wud fit in your budget, but i wud recommend u at least an 8600GT.
Now a days 8600Gt 256 GDDR3 cards can be bought for as low as 4300/- ~ 4500/-
There is marginal performance difference b/w an 8500GT nd 8600GT.
Gte the lowest priced 8600GT in ur location with 3 yr warranty.
There are gud 8600GT out there with gud cooling from Asus or Sonic from Palit, but they are expensive.
XFX 8600Gt wud be available for low price even if it cant be oced much due to heat issue.

I want to know how much did your PC cost? spending your fortune for this config is saying a bit too much. shouldn't have cost more than 18K-20K without the display.

As for the gpu, i would suggest you go for 8600, will have to stretch your budget just a bit.

haha...well after spending approx 50K on a New Bike..i guess i can safely assume 18-20 K as a Fortune ...

anyways ... any ways 8600GT seems a Fiscible option ...but will have to check the Price @ my Place.... have chkd ... 8500GT @ 512 MB is available @ 3K .....hmm now i am very much confused.....if they r offering 512 MB ..how can it b a Low End card ???

don't rush after too much memory. First of all check the type of memory. if it is DDR2 then don't buy it, only go for GDDR3. 256 MB of GDDR3 would be better than 512 MB of DDR2. Second, 8500GT is not capable of efectively utilizing that much of memory. so 256 is enough. So I once again suggest you go for 8600GT.

8500 gt 256 mb ddr3 is one option(no need for 512 as only negligible performance difference). However,if u can extend ur budget a bit,(abt 1k more),u would be able to buy geforce 8600gt 256 mb(4.8 k here) which is about 2-3 times more powerful.Else try to find the older geforce 7600 gt cards(only slight performance decrease;dunno abt its availability but at one time, the price was v.much lower than 8600gt).

Leadtek is a well reputed brand. go for it, but Palit too is not bad.
If theres 500 bicks difference at buying time, get palit. If u can get the leadtek for a bit lower , then get it.
Also u can look for ATI's HD 2600XT which performs faster than 8600GT most of the times and is at same price range.

If leadtek has GDDR3 RAM then it would be better, otherwise go for Palit.
Palit is not bad, you can go for it if you want to save rs 500

i am not able to Make the Decission ..any help ???

Go for 8600GT only if u plan to use Vista. If u sure u ll stick to XP, then a high end DX 9 card seems better.
An 8600GT performs similar to older 7600GT with a 3~5% performance gain.
So a 7800GTX wud be lot faster than an 8600GT.

So 7800 GTX wont be able to Handle Vista ??it wont be able to handle Vista as good as 8600 ???

My Basic Intention is simple "Get the Best in what you can spend least"

i Aint much fond of Vista ..I have created the Very Basic Rig and will Move on the Ladder..but it will take time ....my basic consern is the card must let me play all the Games which i have seen & Read on Digit or any other Mag ...(ofcource not a Insane High Settings)

So guess 7800GTX wins Hands down against 8600GT ..Rite ??
