Default Connecting tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo


Hi i had got a new BSNL Broadband connection and the service engineer had installed and First he connected all its Ethernet not USB and he got to the network connection and the LAN propertied and networking tab and gone to the Properties of Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) and selecte use the following IP adress entered something and then he selected use the following DNS server addresses and and entered something and then created a new connection and connected to broadband that uses login and he finished and then it works fine but i wanted to format because of some problem and if any one knows procedure please tell me or i wanted to contact he BSNL and i wanted to know that they had given a CD with the modem and what's it and and for what purpose please help me urgently. And the modem is of Type-1

connect your modem via LAN. Click start>control panel>network connections. click create a new connection on the left then click next. check connect to the internet, click next. click set up my connection manually, click next. choose second option (broadband that requires username password) enter isp name (BSNL or DATAone, anything else will also do. enter username password, click next and finished. Done

Did any one know the IP adress, Subnetmask, Default Gateway, DNS Server etc.....

ip address: 192.168.1.2 (the last value can be b/w 1 and 255)
subnet: 255.255.255.0
default gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS server: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
