Default d.com and amvo.exe errors


i get messages related to d.com and amvo.exe.
i did google and i find amvo.exe, there are some steps involving downloading of some softwares.
and i for some reason did not trust that. so could any one help me.
i have XP SP2 Pro 32 Bit running NOD32 which is updated.

running scan does not revele any thing.

also in msconfig under startup tab i found amvo.exe i unchecked it.
so what is this?

Search in hidden files and folders too.


If you don't want to download anything, then delete those files using Linux Live CDs after u know their locations.

Ps: There are many free Task Kill softwares available. Google it.

thank you it seemed to work by deleting avmo and d.com from the registry.
but i still have not restarted the comp.(downloading ).

I forget to mention searching in Registry. Trojons put themselves in the Startup or Run or while User Initialization.

But still its necessary to delete those Trojan files from PC as if accidently executed again, it will put itself again in Registry.

Is your problem solved?
