Default What is this file?

When I ran the system configuration utility, I noticed the following entry in the startup; C:\Document~1/Admin/Locals~1/temp/e7952.exe/autorun. When I searched for this file in the specified folder, it did not exist. I disabled it in startup because I suspect its function. Any idea what this file is and what is it doing in startup? A antivirus scan of the document folders did not show up any virus.

which of these two is the file 7952.exe or autorun.inf

the way you have shown it 7952.exe looks like a folder with a decimel in the name

any file/flder in temp folder can be deleted without issues

if the file/folder does not return there shud b no cause for concern.

hI

Brother, I believe everytime u restart u will find an exe with a new number in the temp folder

I had a similar virus/worm if not this one

Install NOD32 and a firewall immediately(i would recommend PCTOOLS fireall plus)..its free

and one more thing

C:\Document~1/Admin/Locals~1/temp/e7952.exe/autorun

here autorun is the argument passed to the exe file
