Default HOW TO DISABLE AUTORUN


Hi Friends,
I want to know how to disable auto insert notification(Of CD_ROM) in windows2000 & in Windows XP.

do thiz:

1.open up ur registry and then goto up this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\CDRom

2.create a new 'dword' value and name it 'Autorun'...modify the earlier one if it already exists.

3.enter its value = 0 to disable autorun and 1 to enable autorun.

Could have simply used TweakUI or SystemMechanic for doing it
the user friendly way.
