Default my ip hijacked?

I've internet connection thru cable and so a static ip address. Whenever I try to download from rapidshare I get the time limitation warnings such as "download limit exceeded. wait for 80 minutes" or "you are already downloading a file. pleaes wait till it's over". Whereas for the last couple of months I've not downloaded a single file from rapidshare. What is the matter? Has somebody hijacked my ip address? Can I get it back? It's URGENT...Plz hlp.

No, I think you got a problem...
Check with your provider, if you are under a proxy or something like that....
If you have a static ip and its perennially downloading, i suppose its a problem?

Keep a check on your amount of downloads....

ur static IP might be causing the problem...do a flushdns and also delete temporary internet files.

no no , its prolly a simply case of shared external ip.
I am guessing that there is a heavy user of rapishare in your neighbourhood, who shares the same external ip address as you do.

Solution -
proxy
OR
well wait for 80 min

demand your ISP for a unique IP for yourself. This looks like the case of a shared IP.

Aahhh, this point missed my mind.
Some ISPs have a habit of giving shared IPs to ppl.
Valid point, screw up ur ISP..

What is your static IP?
If you aren't sure, go to showmyip.com and check it.
