Default How to install AGP Card on P4 Via Chipset Motherboad?

Friends,

This is my first ever posting for my current problem.

I want to install GeForce MX440 (AGP) Card with dual speed of 4X & 8X on my P4 PC with Mercury Via Chipset motherboard.

I inserted New Card on AGP slot, but at startup no video signal is available (i.e. Black Screen), I checked some BIOS settings but can't configure the situation. My motherboard supports AGP 4X.
please help me.

My System Config. is as below:
P-4 1.6 Ghz
Mercury Motherboard with Via Chipset, with 4X AGP slot
128 SD RAM
40 GB HDD

O.S.

Did you press the card hard enough?

It sounds a little silly, but that is what had happened with me ...

Here's a checklist....

1. First of all as said by ujjwal plz check whether the card is properly inserted into the slot and that it is screwed tightly.

2. Disable onboard video from the bios setup of the motherboard.

3. Enable the pnp o/s option from the bios setup. This option means that the irq settings will be handled by the system by default. This is not to say that there is any irq conflict as agp slot is already isolated but just to make sure that interrupts are carried out correctly.

Enjoy

Remove the new card, boot the system and then Just go into you bios and disable onboard Video, Only if you do this can u start using the external card.
