I have a sony wio laptop<<model vg-nr115e>>. in my laptop there is window vista installed. now i want to install window xp home edition. but i m unable to install the window because in boot section there is no option to boot from cd. please tell me the way with which i can install the window xp.

Goto ur bios[f2/del @ startup] and set DVD/CD drive as the first booting device.

booting starts but xp is not loading. there is still vista on my laptop. it gives an error << hardrive not found>>>

y do u want 2 install XP

Enable IDE mode in ur bios. Or slipstream sata drivers in ur xp installation

if your laptop came with preinstalled vista then XP will not work, you will not get drivers, at least for almost all the brands i know off.

i am not too sure about sony.
what ever you do call the cust care ppl and ask them if that model supports XP or not.
