Question identify 8mb cache in IDE


How to identify 8mb cache memory drive in IDE

Download & Install HDTune - LINK.

1. Run the app.
2. Select the HDD.
3. Select the Info Tab.
4. Check out the last Line named as Buffer: XXXX KB

Divide XXXX/1024 to get Buffer Size in MB.

That will tell you the HDD Buffer Size.

you cud check the model number of ur HDD on your mfg's website to get the details of that model

buffer memory size will b 1 of d info
