OCing Transcend DDR400

I wanted to ask you reg overcloccing the Transcend DDR400 Ram 256/512MB

on the ASUS A8N Sli

This ram can be oced to 210 Mhz but i want to take it to 215 220

I am thinking of attaching 2 copper/aluminium plated on both sides of ram
an applying AS5 thermal paste between ram chips and the plate will this do.

Do let me know if its ok and will not cause any harm to my ram

Anybody has a newbies guide to Overclocking DDR RAM modules (with instructions,precautions and requirements) ? I am buying Kingston DDR 400 and I want to ooze out the maximum perfomance from it. Also does overclocking a RAM module also void its warranty just as in the case of processors ?

hey bro dont mind but i have read some where that Transcend DDR 400
provide Bandwidth upto 6000MB/s with the ram timmings tightened to
2-3-2-5

Kingstons DDR 400 have not been able to reach 5000MB/s in SISoft Sandra memory test.

Go for Transcend.

Both rams tested on an AMD System.

Do ask others about this dont take my opinion as final decision.

Well Transcend,if with Mosel Chips,does OC quite decently.

I have done 223 @ Stock Vdimm.

Also there is no need of Heat spreaders.

And certainly not worth for Transcend or Kingston Value.

Well u have to say a Transcend DDR400 512MB x2 Ram chips
overclock to 223Mhz well thats absolutely gr8 thats enough for me.

And you reached this on ASUS A8N Sli Mobo right.

Well can you let me know what memory BW are you getting in Sisoft Sandra.

What ram timings are you having at 223Mhz and have you run memtest x86. if yes for how many hours.

Is there a software or a way to find ram temprature.
