Just Got Inspiron 1525 - URGENT HELP REQUIRED

Hello.

I just received the Dell Inspiron 1525 I had ordered.

Will post a detailed review soon. But meanwhile, I need advise:

1. Is VISTA HOME BASIC GOOD or SHOULD I FORMAT AND INSTALL XP?

2. Also, how do I create partitions (now there is one 135 GB partition and one 10 GB partition).

Vista Basic is much better (more secure & less bugs) if you have enough ram.
Vista Basic Takes around 6.5 GB so install it in 10GB partition
After installation is complete Open Control Panel
Open System and Maintenance
Open Create and Format hard disk in Administrative Tools and create as my partitions as you like
