How to: Add files to an already CD ISO ?
Guys,
I have a CD Image (ISO) on my HDD and its 350 MB, so I want to add another folder of 250 MB (of patches) to it so that the total size wud be 600 MB and then I can burn it onto a CD.
Plz tell me how to do it.. I have NERO 7
NOTE: The CD is 1st out of the 3 ISO CDs (So im trying to add this patch folder onto the 1st CD, I hope it wont screw up the ISO so that wen it asks for CD-1 then CD-2 and finally CD-3 during installation of the game, I get an error msg in CD-1 coz of the added folder)
Cheers n e-peace.,..

Re: How to: Add files to an already CD ISO ?
You can even powerISO.
It might mess up depending on the way it is checking for CD2. Lets say the patches in cd 2 are copied to cd1 in a folder name patches, the path won't match and it can throw an error. You can add these files to the iso, and try using the mounted iso. If it works fine, you can burn them to the cd

Re: How to: Add files to an already CD ISO ?
your best bet would be to mount the ISOs individually and install it. I think CD images when burnt are finalised disks(no furhter writing possible)

Mostly true, but after creating images they can be edited with these softwares

Re: How to: Add files to an already CD ISO ?
^^ (to all) how abt :-
1.) making a RAR file of the CD-1 Image and
2.) burning the patch folder( 250 MB) and the RARed CD-1 Image onto the CD
3.) then (for future installations) extracting the CD-1 RARed file and mounting it with Daemon or Nero Image drive ??
Will this do ??
If yes, then I can RAR the remaining 2 game disks (both, 350MB and 400 MB resp onto a 800 MB CD-R) ???
Plz respond guys..
CHeers n e-peace...

Use 7zip. Its the best archiving utility i've ever seen. Its free forever and it supports the iso format.

^ I have noticed 7Zip to be slow sometimes. Especially with multiple split volumes. Have you ever felt so ?

Re: How to: Add files to an already CD ISO ?
no rar.. no zip.... they support some image formats.. but dont make image formats.. if u wanna add files to an already existing image, use iso-modifyin sw like ultraiso.. magiciso.. poweriso... lotsa them... search, u'll find plenty.
or mount the iso on a virtual drive (like that of some versions of nero.. or daemon tools) and copy paste them in an image file again in Nero itself.
I would say... the former... it maintains the iso format of the original... best bet... esp.. fo bootable isos.. or semi-corrupted isos....

Re: How to: Add files to an already CD ISO ?
Rarring them will be pretty time consuming as first u have to compress them and later uncompress them.
Once u get an idea how to do it with powerIso kinda softwares, you can start mastering the art of editing cd image files
