how long have you been using this battery ?

after a while, a battery's capacity drops

i got a laptop which i bought in 2001 and now the battery is so bad, its not even 1 second...if the power goes, laptop switches off just like a desktop...i have to use it on a UPS lol

u can try using other battery monitoring softwares like BatteryMon

one and half years old means more than half of the battery life is over I think its ok if it retains 75% of its capacity (3 out of 5). Plan to buy a new battery within six monts.
