Default Buying a Portable HDD

Hey.

I am looking to buy a Portable HDD of 40 Gigs. I need just 40 gigs so plz don't post just asking me to get a bigger one.

So I wanted to know which one was good and what the price was like.

I'll go for 80 gig if the price diff. is not much.

I would recommend buying the Western Digital Passport 60GB portable hard drive.
It would cost you around 2800 bucks or lesser.
The commonly ones available in the market will be transcend ones which I would not prefer over Western Digital.

Also another option would be buy a 40 gig or 80 gig hard drive and buy external casing to make it portable.

^^ You need to go for HDD+casing for that budget.

So I'll have to go for a 40Gig 2.5" HDD with a decent casing?

If so, Which HDD and which casing?

But why limit yourself to 40gig? Space is just not enough.

Anyway, would suggest go for WD 60GB as said by Ankur. WD is the best IMHO!

Please read the first post! And you have just summed up what everyone said...

Can anyone please provide me an answer to what I asked? As in which case and HDD will be a good and cheap combo?

Ok, since a hitachi one will be available for 1800, i'd rather go with the hitachi.
