Default delete partition without formatting hd /reinstall xp


i delete partition without formatting hd partition. when i boot win 98 cd
some process occur after give message fixed disk on choice format hd option or other option and stop the process?

please be more clear in your question
i am not able to get your question?
let me just guess your case

you had xp installed on your sys, you have deleted the partiton(which means removed its reference from allocation table) without formating and you are trying to install 98 and it is not installing and please mention the error it gives

might be your drive was in NTFS file system

can anyone tell me how to use fdisk, its capabilities etc..

@ Rashid Ansari, Please be more specific in your query .. As working with partitions may cause loss of data, so we need to be sure of what you are asking ...
