i want to buy a new system, and i am thinking of either of these
1 intel quadcore q6600 2.4 gh
2. intel core 2 duo q6700 2.6 gh

and i didnt decide motherboard yet, so any suggestions are appreciated

the processors which you have mentioned here are top of the line processors form intel's stable.

If you want a quad core solution with extreme performance go for the second option.
