Any Career in Computers and MEDICINE combined?

Hello FRIENDS..

I am really a tech lover guy,
A Big fan of Computers and technology .
My Friends says that i am a wrong Profession, i should have been in IT.
Par Bante Bante hum to M.B.B.S. Ban gaye [ not kidding, seriously]

Now the Q: [u may consider it for the QOTW ]

I am seriousy thinking of a career in something like computers and Medicine COMBINED.
But there is a huge information gap before me. I dont know anything much about it.
Why I Am posting here is because someone may have a knowledge of this field.
If anyone knows , please reply, guide me to contact someone who can help me,

bioinformatics
space medicine

IIT Karagpur has a course of MS Bioinformatics, where the entry requirement as in 2001 when I was thinking of applying, was MBBS with minimum 60% marks (I guess aggregate)
