Default Unable to shutdown


My friend has LG R400 Laptop with Vista Home Premium installed. He is now learning SAP so he removed Vista and installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. Now he is facing shutdown problems. I have disabled Shutdown Event Tracker but still the problem persists. Now after disabling event tracker I get general shutdown dialoge box (like in XP) but when I select shutdow it gets restarted and not shutdown!!

Urgent help needed

try to do it with task manager.

If VGA drivers are not installed, then install them. It should be present in motherboard CD. Otherwise if he has net connection, then download from the manufacturer site.

I am able to shutdown from Task manager, but that is not what I want, when I click shutdown in Start Menu it should shutdown, but it restarts !!

Also whenever I try to run Regedit, MSconfig laptop restarts !! Is this virus activity ??

Okay that was Virus Problem !! The laptop works perfectly alright.
