Price of dual layer DVDs???

I am thinking of buying some dual layer DVDs for archiving purpose if they are reasonably priced. Last time I checked they were around Rs. 120-130 for Moser Bear brand. Is there any other brand available which is around 60-70 or less

?

If you are backing up something important, go for the following DVD+R manufacturers (In that order):

Sony / Imation / Moserbaer.
150-130 / 120-100 / 100-90

If no important data, you can go for the local ones available from Rs. 70-90.

my Big Bro Is working in Moser baer

so for me its just only 25 rupees

and in market its 120/-

For me a Moser Baer Dual Layer DVD is for Rs. 70.

Pirated maal DVD+-R = Rs 15~25 (they work well).

I guess he is asking for Dual Layer DVD's. The one that you have mentioned are DVD+R or DVD-R. I think the least we can get a dual layer DVD maybe Rs 70. I don't think we can get a dual layer DVD anything less than that.

yeah true. i was just telling the regular one. Pirated DL-DVD would be around 60~125

as you are from Pune can you recommend any store which has stock of DL-DVD ready?? I was not able to find any store which has any DL-DVD less than 120. (:

I have never purchased. BTW, there may be many such stores in Pune city. I live in PCMC.

There is a engineer named Rishi somewhere near INOX. Just ask some people there. He services old, new PCs. He may have a stock. My PC was bought from him. He also deals with brand new PCs.

I also want to know which city you are from? It is really great price for DL-DVD and that is what it should really cost. Not something like Rs.120

Dude can you tell me the place from where you bought it? What brand is it? How many did you buy? Were they durable? Why are Dual layer DVD's so expensive as compared to single layer? Any specific brand that I should look for?

Well, the brand was Imation.....I had bought from a stationery shop near my house in Gurgaon.

May be, they're expensive because their manufacturing cost is a bit high and also they're giving double the capacity of single-layer DVD. The writing speed was slow.....So, I still prefer the normal single layer DVD.

You can consider Moserbaer......It is good.....

Anyways, but I still buy single layer DVDs because here I can get them for Rs.20 and also the writing speed is higher.

Well I have couple of movies which are of size more than 5 GB somewhere around 7 GB so that is why I need to buy a dual layer DVD. If these are very expensive and the ones which are not reliable then I guess I need to split the movie into two DVD5 which I would not prefer.
