they have many features like receive money, sending money..
you need to verify the account with a credit card ....
you can open account without verifying but can transfer a maximum of $3000 after which you need to verify it ....
what else...?

i use paypal for past 5-6 yrs... but i have used a genuine credit card to get my paypal verified and i do a lot of online purchasing through it...

Go to https://www.paypal.com and their help section. Everything is well explained there.

1. Regarding CC, it is always better to add a real CC.

2. You can use paypal in all sites where it is supported.

3. Yes in Ebay.

1. No necessary. Without CC your account will be unverified. With unverfied you have following limitations :

- Cannot send money more than 100$
- Cannot withdraw money mre than 500$ subject to 3000$ overall till you verify

2. Yes, you can shop at all sites which accept Paypal and most do
3. Ofcouse, Paypal is a Ebay company

i just wanted to get some info from ppl who are using it.

suppose i need to send say Rs5000 to a friend in Germany,say i have a verified account, how can he recive the money? can i send it directly to his bank? and what are the sur-charges or any thing like that?

can he use my account to take his money out?
and how long does it take?

1. You just send money to your friends account.by clicking send money from your Paypal Account. Your Paypal Account is your EMAIL ID with which you registered

2. No, you cannot send money to his bank account.
3. You dont pay anything for sending money. Your friend might have to pay fees which is very high incase if he has a premier or business Account. Personal Accounts account will be suitable for you two both

4. No he cannot use your account. You will be having Indian Account and he will be having German or EU Account.

5.Sending money is instant. Withdrawal takes 15-20 days for Cheques and i am not sure if Paypal has bank support for Germany.
