planning to purchase a laptop... in installments

configuration as follow:

Intel core2duo
2 Gb DDR RAM
ATA HDD (sixe doesnt matter.. will add external HDD later)
2 mb cache memory
DVD Writer
screen size really doesnt matter..

where can i Get best deals and which brand should i go with...??
