Default Wanna buy CD r/w PLZ Advise.........

Hi All,

Planning to buy a CD R/W please suggest which is the best and cheapest somewhere around 3k wud do..
Please note
..> not a DVD R/W
..> not a Samsung as i had terrible problems with it.. no more Samsung for me

Hey Daryl Welcome to the forum buddy.
Well since u have already Kicked Samsung Option outta the Way (For very Obvious Tray Reasons i assume )
lets see the other 2 options:
Go for Either Sony CD-RW Or A Liteon One Must be Costing around 1.3k to 1.4k.
i Have heard that Asus and Pioneer Drives too are good but not sure on each of thier prices

And in case of a CD writer:
Sony/lite-on
pioneer

Dont go for Samsung --> tray problems
LG --> CD reading problems

But remember Samsung drives read scratched CD's more efficiently then any other optical drive brand....

hey guys thanks for ur response. although many of my freinds recommended SONY but wanted to know more....ur suggestions really helped

is there any specific model which i shud look out for if i opt for **SONY**

What is the price diff between CD R/W and DVD R/W for SONY (just wanna know)

CD writer ---> rs. 1250-1300
DVD rom ---> 1500rs
Combo (CD writer and DVD rom) --> rs. 2500
