Default wich ram to go for?


hi,
my pc config is p4 2.4 256 mb ram, intel 845gvsr, samsung monitor 80 gb hdd combo drive.I want to add more ram which should i buy 256 or 512 the price for 256 is rs.1100 and for 512 is 2350 (hynix).i intend to play half life 2 on this pc

see, as your mobo is not a high end one, there's no use of putting anything more than 256mb.

in 845gvsr there r certain bottle necks, like, you cannot install a processor more than 2.4 ghz and AGP 4X not sufficient. so i suggest, after putting 256mb stick go for a 4x/128mb grafix card..

hi vishal
Please make sure u purchase RAM with same frequency as your previous RAM has other wise 2 RAM will not work together
u can check your RAM frequecy in BIOS setup
