Default What is a .pdb file & how to open it?

I recently downloaded a .pdb file and I have no software to open it. I have a vague idea that it is for the plam devices, I am not sure. Anyway, does anyone here have any idea how to view the same on desktop? Any freeware readers for the same? Or is it possible to convert the same to PDF, instead of installing a software just to read one document?
