Question Dual Channel RAM Confusion

Hey I have got one 512mb Corsair 667mhz and another I bought a few days ago 1gb Transcend 667mhz. I put them in two consecutive slots. Are they working in dual channel mode? If not what is the frequency they are working at? is it 667mhz as both RAMs are of that frequency?

What is the model number of your motherboard? Make sure both the modules are in same colored slots.

For dual channel to work, u shud have two identical amount, latencies nd brands with same model name.
In some cases if brand nd model differs, then maybe it can run in dual channel. But a 1G nd a 512M cannot work in dual ch.

OK, they might not work in dual channel but are they working at 667 mhz. somewhere i read that RAM should be in dual channel to work at full speed. else they work at half the sped mentioned.
My Motherboard model number is MSI k9ngm -l.
