Default burning DVDs at a faster speed


is burning DVDs ( even CD ) at a faster speed is safe. will the files on the disc become corrupt after sometime, say, after two or three months. i am very noob in burning.pplz enlighten me up.

Burning dvd at 16x on good quality media is ok else never go beyond 8x.for cds the safe limit is 32x or 40x on good media

Yes.
Burn at low speed to stay away from mishaps.
Always use good media,not the cheap one.
Don't multitask,while writing the cd/dvd.
