need a bluetooth dongle
i want to buy a bluetooth dongle but they are available from 300 to 1500bucks. what things i need to consider before buying it?

nuthin much dude.. just get any BT dongle- provided tht u need it fr basic cellphone transfers

Get a standard BT dongle for around 150 bucks.. it ll come wit bluesoliel or widcomm driver.. plug it and use..

No... Make sure it is Blutooth 2.0 wish supports 3 MBPS... and if you are one windows user make sure it iether supports Vista default Bluetooth adopter driver...
or it should bags it own full version Vista drivers...
do note, that, PC Suite or such softwares wont support many driver providers for the bluetooth adopter...
ex, bluesoleil.com drivers are not supported by Nokia PC Suite

I am thinking of one with these features:

Well no, if u hav a nokia [ i kno only abt nokia, pardon me] u hav an option to "Authorise a device". Use that, simple

i got myself a dongle for 200bucks, yes it is bluetooth 2.0
vendor said it supports vista but it is not written on the packaging. moreover it gets detected in WIN XP automatically...no need of installing its own drivers

I have already done that.. I want to know if there is a way by which i can authorize connection for my PC cuz i need to select "Receive a file" every time i need to receive a file on comp. moreover multiple files cant be send, only one file at a time.

I gues u need to connect ur cell, and PAIR it, and AUTHORISE it as well

Pair it one time & set on phone tick the option 'set as authorized'.Now the connection will take place without any prompts.This is for nokia phones only.

why you all guys not getting it? I have already set the pairing as authorize on cell. If i am sending a file from PC to cell, it doesn't prompt for accepting the file. ok.
the same i want to do with PC so that when i send file from my cell, it gets accepted automatically, unlike manually selecting "Receive a file" I hope m clear now...
