Default Droping in Video Capturing

To capture movie from my digital sony handy cam, I tried windows movie maker but frames are dropping & jumping picture during the capture mode. Plz help me to solve the problem. My computer's Spec.. P3 800 mhz, 320mb sd ram, sis 630chipset with onboard video(64mb shared mem) & Sound. Win XP os. s/w Window movie maker.

what resolution ur using? try capturing at low resolution. also try using ulead videostudio or adobe priemier. get rid of using wmv and use only DV, mpeg compression which u can edit later.

I have been using 1024x768, high color 16 bit. I had already tired windvr, powervcr but no improvements. Is their any problem in hardware? Elaborate DV Compression plz.

Probably your processor is slow....
Try it on some computer having a p4...

And are you using 1024*768 for capturing!!!!!!!

ur using a very high resolution for ur poor lil p3
lighten the load a bit
why do u need such a big capture anyways ?
if u convert to vcd ur gonna scale it down to 352*280 anyways !!

Thnks 4 ur suggestions! Major prblm solved. But still their is jerks in the movie.
