Local Area Connection taking lot of time to load...!

hi guys,

When i get the desktop screen, i dont get the local area connection icon in the systemtray for about 2 mins. When ever i try to open applications during this time the system just freezes till the icon appears!

Is there any way i can solve this?

I suppose you are using Vista. I had the same problem when I was test driving Vista Basic. I couldn't find any solution though. However, XP doesn't haf this problem. Mebbe Vista needs some Service which has the parameter set: Delayed Start.

Try assigning static ip to your LAN Card.
