Hi all,

Since the VAT is coming into effect from April 1 , I have decided to upgrade my computer.

I have chosen the following components that are being upgraded. I just need the approx. prices in Bangalore.

Here we go..

2. Motherboard -> ASUS K8N

3. 512 MB PC3200 RAM -> Hynix ( 1 stick )

4. 80GB 7200 RPM IDE HDD -> Samsung

5. Video Card -> Nvidia Geforce4 Ti4600 128MB DDR / ATI Radeon 9600 pro / 9600 non pro

6. Joystick -> MS Sidewinder Precision 2 Joystick

7. Optical drive -> LG CD Writer/DVD Reader Combo

8. Cabinet -> ATX Cabinet with 400W SMPS

Thanks!.

two suggestions....
5. Video Card: If possible stick to Ati Radeon 9600 Pro only...
7. Liteon or Samsung brand is preferable....Lg doesnt seems to be popular in here....
8. If budget gets bit off the range then u can settle in for a 350W cabinet instaed of 400W..

ENjoy....

1. CPU -> AMD Athlon 64 2800+ >> 5.2k

2. Motherboard -> ASUS K8N >> 5k

3. 512 MB PC3200 RAM -> Hynix ( 1 stick ) >> 3k

4. 80GB 7200 RPM IDE HDD -> Samsung >> 2.7k

5. Video Card -> Nvidia Geforce4 Ti4600 128MB DDR / ATI Radeon 9600 pro / 9600 non pro >> 7.6k (9600pro) 5.5k (9600Np)

6. Joystick -> MS Sidewinder Precision 2 Joystick >> ?? No idea

7. Optical drive -> LG CD Writer/DVD Reader Combo >> 2-2.5k

8. Cabinet -> ATX Cabinet with 400W SMPS >> 2.5k for generic cabby + Powersafe PSU.

Better go for Kingston or Transcend RAM rather than HYNIX and dont go for SAMSUNG OPTICAL DRIVE, their tray develops probs after 7-8 months and for HDD go for SEAGATE 80 GB 2.5K-2.7K in delhi. This is wat i think
