Angry PC Hanging and other Problem

Guys i am facing a peculiar problem. My pc is hanging every now and then and nothing is happening. I cant even open the Task Manager. At that time i have no other option but to restart it from the restart button. It is either happening within few min. or within few seconds Sometimes i cant connect to the net also. Is this because of the virus? When i am switching the pc on from hibernation while logging on its showing 5 programs r running in my a/c whers as in Task Manager nothing is there. I have very recently reinstalled the OS(xp) so wouldnt like to reformat it again. I have giving here the report of the log file of Hijackthis. Plz check it and tell me where`s the problem. Thanks.

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

Default Re: Infected?

Get your self the IE7... not that I am asking you to use it for surfing but in many case many other softwrae uses the IE engine for many activites IE7 is more secure than IE6

Now the log seems fine to me atleast... !!!

anyway, I doubt may be some hardware problems (Hardware it self or device drivers) are coming up... do you have any other OS (Windows / Linux) as in dual boot ?? please check if this problem continues at the same way in other OSes too...

Try and re-install the uptodate drivesr for your system !!! and see if any BIOS update is availavle or not as you use P5B-VM use the ASUS auto updater for BIOS update

Default Re: Infected?

Since yours is a fresh XP install, dont think it could be a sw problem; like choto said, could be a hw issue. Neveretheless magitime.exe (connection tracking utility or a tool to add date/time to digital photos - both have this process) is considered to be a problemware; just get this file checked at http://www.virustotal.com/sobre.html or http://virusscan.jotti.org/ and if found to be malware uninstall it or use delete doctor utility to delete it. Get your hjt log auto-analysed at www.hijackthis.de . More info at http://www.securitystronghold.com/gates/magitime.html
