^^ wat u wanna ask exactly ?? Wats "CAP"

I hv recently upgraded from TRIBAND DSL 499 to DSL 849 Night UL of MTNL and If u mean that CAP=hidden settings or taxes or restrictions (wich are written in fine print) then there is nothing like that.

If u follow wat MTNL says "To disconnect and reconnect at 00.00 Hrs and again at 08.00 Hrs to avail night UL options then u are on right track

I hv had no problems with tat since a month i hv upgraded. as they do not charge u a single Mb in this UL period.

But, if u are asking abt the connection speed (that being 2 Mbps) at night, then it actually depends on ur MTNL location, as some areas have lesser speeds compared to other ISP locations of MTNL. bcoz if u read wat the plan says exactly, it reads MTNL TRIBAND DSL 849 Night UL=256 kbps/ upto 2 Mbps read the "upto" word.. so its not exactly that u will be gatting 2 Mbps but u may get it till tat limit and it may fluctuate between 256 kbps to 2 mbps

I personally get a d/load speed of 26KBps (kilo Bytes) wich is 26 x 8=208 Kbps (kilo bits) while using torrents on this MTNL plan

^^
If u are at mumbai, its Rs. 849 (DSL Night UL plan) and if u already hv a Triband connection and want an upgrade, then giv them a written letter abt a "Change in Triband Plan from ___ to ____" and this will be done within 8-10 Hrs flat

Cheers n e-peace...

Gone are the days of the 2 mbps connection ... I used to get around 2 mbps speeds but it's down to the usual 256 kbps on my TriB_Unlimited connection .. anyone still getting the same old super speeds ?

Hey iMav,

I've been using the 849NU plan from the day it was introduced. As he rightly said:
The speed depend on a lot of factors.
Uploads are indeed free.
You must disconnect / reboot the router at 00:10 and 7:50 ( Just to be safe )
The speed drops to arounf 500kbps for me just after midnight, probably because everyone starts download stuff. But by around 4AM or so, I easily touch 2Mbps.

Charges are 849 + Tax
